Wednesday - 2/25/10

Fast walk of at least 30 minutes

Walked 2.1 miles. Pretty boring and I spent the entire time of dreaming of running outside. I am not sure if that helped or made it worse.

I have renamed the treadmill to the Dreadmill. I think it is very fitting.

Sunday - 2/21/10

Tempo run of 3.1 miles, 5k day.

I ran 3.1 miles in 33:59 which is a new Corey World Record. I had to work for every bit of that run but it was worth it to improve my time. I really can not wait for it to get warm so I can see what my time is outside!

Mile 3 - 10:54 (1.1 mile)

Thirsday - 2/18/10

Easy run of 3.5 miles.

Ran 3.5 miles in 42 minutes. I took it easy and ran at a slower pace and actually enjoyed the run.

Interval. .25 at 90%, .25 at 70%, 4 times. 5 minute warm up and cool down

I went back to my Omni8s and had a good day.

2 miles of interval training in 22:22 minutes. Last time I did this training it was 2 miles in 23:37 minutes.

Monday - 2/15/10

I bought new running shoes because my Omni8s are starting to show some mileage. Who would have ever thought that *I* would wear out a pair of running shoes? New Balance has a new line of shoes that are made for the Chi running and mid strikes. I thought they would really help but should have known better. I should always stick with what I know works because anytime I try the new cutting edge stuff it never works for me.

The NB 801s were awesome in that they were super light weight.. but that is about all that was awesome. After .40 miles I got 2 blisters, one that bled all down into my sock. My toes got hot spots and my back and knees instantly hurt.

It really is amazing what a good pair of shoes can do for you. And what a bad pair can do too!

I only ran .60 miles total due to bad shoes.

Sunday - 2/14/10

Long Cardio - 1 hour of aerobic exercise, MHR 70 - 80%

Walked a 10k. 6.11 miles actually.

Walked 6.11 miles in 1 hour and 24 minutes. I did get terribly bored walking on the treadmill so I ran a little bit of it just to make the mileage hurry up. Watching the Olympics did help but walking on the treadmill for a long distance is just plain torture.

Friday - 2/5/10

Tempo run of 3.1 miles.

I am really behind with updating this blog. I have been running/training but there is so much going on around here that I just have not had more than a minute or two to sit down. So until I get caught up this week I am just going to post the stats for each day.

Ran 3.1 miles on the treadmill with a time of 34 minutes. Not great but not bad..for me at least. I did have a faster last mile which I am pretty happy about.

.84 warm up and cool down

3.94 total miles

Thursday - 2/4/10

Long Cardio - 1 hour of aerobic exercise, MHR 70 - 80%

Another long walk on the treadmill while watching Dirty Jobs. This time Mike Rowe was chasing Chickens. Funny, funny stuff!
